Scholarship Available
The Tama County Democratic Party has a $250 Scholarship available to a graduating senior who is a resident of Tama County. Application are available through the guidance offices of area high schools. The deadline for application is 5 p.m. April 30, 2011. The award will be sent to the winner’s institution of higher education at the beginning of their second term. The award is not based on financial need.
Applicants should return the application to their guidance counselor along with a 250– 500 word essay on “What I would do to improve my country?”
Political affiliation will not be a basis for the award. The scholarship committee will not know who the applicants are.
