Help Re-desgn Our Parade Float

Our new theme for this year is "This is Our Tama County."

Help us update the float by submitting your design ideas at the central committee meeting on April 7, 2010 or by sending them to dori@tamademocrats.org.  We will be looking for volunteers to help in the contruction and redesign.  contact dori@tamademocrat.org if you are interested in helping.

High Scholarship Available 

 The Tama County Democratic Party has a $250 Scholarship available to a graduating senior who is a resident of Tama County.  Application are available through the guidance offices of area high schools. The deadline for application is 5 p.m. March 31, 2010.  Winners will be notified by April 30, 2010.

The award will be sent to the winner’s institution of higher education at the beginning of their second term.  The award is not based on financial need.   

Applicants should return the application to their guidance counselor along with a 250– 500 word essay on “What I would do to improve my country?” 

Political affiliation will not be a basis for the award.  The scholarship committee will not know who the applicants are.
